Waltham grade 210 rose gold filled half hunter pocket watch of military interest measuring 48mm in diameter.
Dial - white enamel signed 'Waltham, Barton Son & Co., Bangalore.' with black Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands and subsidiary seconds dial. In excellent condition having no hairlines, chips or discolouration. The glass is in good condition.
Case - rose gold filled by 'Comrade' half hunter with engine turned decoration to the front and back covers. The sprung front cover opens when the crown is depressed and has a blue enamel Roman numeral chapter ring with central viewing porthole. The band has a milled edge. The dust cover bears the presentation inscription: 'Presented to, Sergt. Instrustor. J. Preston. The members of C. Troop. In Recognition of his services in raising organising & maintaining the efficiency of C. Troop. S. P. M. R. 1905 - 1907'. In very good all round condition having just a couple of very small, barely noticeable dings.
Movement - nickel finished 3/4 plate, 210 grade, stem wind and set in excellent condition. Good working order and keeping time to within 2 minutes per day.
